Coronavirus – Implications for our U3A Meetings and Activities:
We are all taking this very seriously as the health and safety of our members is paramount.
As of 16 March 2020 national advice was that from now on everyone should stop non-essential contact with others and adopt social distancing. People in "at risk groups" are to be shielded from social contact for 12 weeks. People who should take particular care to minimise social contact are, among others, people over the age of 70.
All of our U3A meetings and activities were postponed. Regional and national lockdown restrictions continued throughout 2020 and into 2021. Regular communications with Committee and members were made during this very difficult time.
All of our activities have now restarted. However, individual Members must continue to assess their own personal risk to decide whether or not to participate in any restarted activity, must not have Covid 19 symptoms and, if participating, comply with Covid safe measures.
