The Open Event on Tuesday 19 November was again very successful with a great atmosphere and over £260 being raised for our funds (25% more than last year!). Thank you to all group leaders and helpers who worked hard to make it such a success. Also a big thank to Shiela who master minded the event!
Looking forward, our Speakers’ Secretary, Gary Cooper, has arranged an exciting series of talks for the year starting on 21 January with a talk by Rupert Toovey on Sussex Artists. Future dates are 17 March, 19 May and 21 July.
You should have received the SUN (Sussex U3A Network) study day programme in a previous mailing. Topics coming up are Music and Nature on 11 January in Hailsham, Landscapes of South East England in Pulborough (8 February), Country Houses of the South Downs from Medieval to 20th Century in Rustington (14 March) and a Mathematical Medley on 18 April in Horsham. Details and how to book are available on the Sussex U3A Network website:
Finally, we still have a few 2020 diaries to sell at £2.75 so please see Esme or myself at the next General Meeting if you would like one.
With best wishes for 2020.
