Garden Visits

The Garden Knowhow group is aimed at those of us interested in gardening; the group doesn’t set out to teach you about gardening, but we arrange visits to specialist gardens. These are generally taken from the NGS Yellow Books for Sussex and Surrey. Hopefully by visiting other gardens and asking questions you will learn and get ideas for your own garden. Because the gardens we visit are often quite small with limited parking, the group is limited to 30 people. We often meet beforehand to share cars if parking is particularly restricted.
Our planning meeting for the following year’s visits takes place in November, accompanied by coffee and biscuits. All members are expected to organise visits which take place from March through to October. September is often used to arrange a plant swap for members to bring and exchange their surplus or split plants. Nothing is normally planned for the winter months, December to February.
