Visits in 2017
A group programme for 2017 is attached, to give an example of the sort of places group 5 visited. Their visits and meetings will normally be held at 10:30 (for an 11:00 tour start) on the 3rd Thursday of each month unless otherwise indicated.

1. Good sources of information on obtaining local guides are the other Towns & Villages groups (if they have visited the venue), local museums, libraries, tourist information centres, Blue Badge Guide register, and the local U3As.
2. Organisers should find out about suitable parking and a venue for coffee prior to the visit start & for lunch afterwards. You should also check with the coffee & lunch venues that they are happy to take our party size (some may want us to come early, or can’t manage our party size at all).
3. Confirm our numbers with the guide and coffee & lunch venues one or two days before the visit.
