People and Their Times
Contact: people@horshamu3a.org.uk
The people and their times group meet to study various individuals either living or from the past. Each member prepares a presentation about someone who has attracted their interest which they deliver to the group. This is usually done by one person being responsible for one meeting.
It is followed by questions and discussion over a cup of tea. However it can be done with more than one person giving the presentation if the person in charge of the month wishes to arranges this.
We have studied a wide variety of people ranging from historical people such as Elizabeth Woodville, Roland Hill, Mary Secole, David Livingstone, Picasso, Alison Utley, to more modern times with Mrs Beeton.
Recently we had a meeting with everyone contributing a part of the life of Winston Churchill.
