Computers 1 and 2
Computer Group 1
We maintain our interest in the Raspberry Pi computer and the programming hiccups which baffle and bemuse us. You may have heard that computers are unrelenting, a point well experienced when a ‘space’ or ‘bracket’ is inserted or omitted in the wrong place. See the adjacent link for further details of the Raspberry Pi.
Computer Group 1 meets in various houses on the third Friday of each month. The numbers are limited as ten members plus computers, projector and screen overcrowd most domestic properties.
Computer Group 2 meets at St Mark’s Church Hall (North Heath Lane) on the 4th Thursday of each month where about 30 members gather under the leadership of Angus Lincoln. The meetings vary but usually commence with a Q & A session to attempt to resolve little ‘computer gremlins’ that have occurred during the month. During this session we share discoveries, good and bad practice and information. This is followed by some aspect of informal demonstration of current interest. All sessions are very informal and are ideal for beginners and the more experienced computer user. A small entrance fee is charged to cover the hire of the hall.
