Weekenders
We are a group of ladies who meet just once a month at the weekends to visit, say, one of the local theatres, Saturday or Sunday lunch at one of the local restaurants or public houses and various other venues that we can think of to spend a few happy hours socially together.
I know some of our members do find weekends a lonely time so why not give us a try.
The only condition we do make is that each of us takes it in turn to arrange such an outing. This would only occur about once a year so is no big deal. Needless to say you wouldn’t be expected to do this when you first join. It could be a year or so before you would have to organise some event of your choosing.
In the past we have enjoyed, amongst other things, visits to the theatre, a game or two of skittles, visits to nearby country houses and gardens, “at homes” for a quiz or two, games and maybe some favourite music, all with food, of course. We have been known to take the bus to Brighton for the day, in fact practically anything goes!
