2019 New Year Party
Our meeting at 2pm on Friday 4th January 2019 was very different to our usual monthly Meetings as we were entertained in the first hour by an opera singer. As well as singing familiar songs from popular operas, Jennifer Parker-Lummis performed a repertoire that included both old and new music from all genres, some more serious than others, and she also let us know the background and source of her material. Jennifer's performance was enjoyed enormously by everyone there and she was called back for an encore at the end of her set.
Following the musical event we had tea and indulged in more cakes baked by fifteen of our own members while completing a Quiz.
