The Photographic Angle Competitions

The Photographic Angle ('TPA') promotes education of the public in the art and science of photography by supporting professional, student and amateur photographers, and by staging free exhibitions that travel across the UK transforming otherwise empty spaces into temporary galleries.

The exhibitions showcase contemporary work submitted by students, graduates and enthusiasts of the art of photography, giving the public the chance to explore this fascinating medium which can be art, an occupation, or simply a pastime. The exhibition currently taking place is in Fareham.

TPA runs competitions on a bi-monthly basis and up to date information can always be found on the competitions web page. Competitions are free to enter and open to anyone. The judges are chosen carefully and have a wealth of photographic experience.

TPA also welcomes submissions to their latest catalogues via the following page on the catalogues web page. The curator looks at all submitted images and makes his choice of those which will be included in the final catalogue. Again this is free and open to anyone.

TPA is a charity linked to the Royal Photographic Society, and in conjunction with it, is responsible for funding a bursary for work in relation to environmental awareness. It also awards a number of its own bursaries each year.
