January 2020 - Magic Lantern Show
At our Monthly meeting on Friday 10th January 2020 we entertained by a Victorian Magic Lantern Show presented by Renee and Alan Marriott using an original magic lantern, the predecessor of the modern slide projector. Renee and Alan were dressed in appropriate Victorian clothing as they showed glass slides containing humorous and entertaining pictures that achieve simple animation by moving and merging images.
The presentation was followed by refreshments and a raffle.
