Art & Artists
This small but enthusiastic group focuses on gallery visits and talks. We all look out for interesting exhibitions which we can visit within a day on public transport. We get together periodically to plan a series of visits to take place roughly once a month, deliberately scheduled for varying days during the week. The coordinator researches travel options to share with the members, and then individuals organise their own train tickets, gallery bookings etc.
During the past few months (February to March 2024) members have visited the Millennium Gallery in Sheffield, followed by a film ‘Painting the Modern Garden:Monet to Matisse’, and Leeds Art Gallery.
