Craft
The Craft group meet at the Anglers Rest, Bamford (unless otherwise stated) on the second and the fourth Thursday of the month, from 2- 4/4.30 pm.
Our group is only small in number, but we always have a fun time doing our crafts, chatting and having a hot drink from the cafe. We have made Christmas wreaths, rag rugs using different methods, done Bargello work on canvas, counted canvas stitching, made Dorset buttons, done felt making - to name but a few things. The last 2 Christmases we have made small Christmas decorations and toys. The staff at the Anglers Rest kindly allowed us to display and sell these articles and we have raised almost £200 for Ashgate Hospicecare.
Our next project is coiled basketry.If you fancy having a go, why not join our group for our next meeting. Or visit the group and bring your own knitting etc for a chat.
