Theatre ticket & transport payments

The Theatre Team are usually able to reserve seats in advance and pay the theatre nearer the time of the performance date. If you have signed up for a trip we will contact you when payment is required for your ticket (and sometimes transport), and give you details of how to make the payment. Once we have paid the theatre for the tickets it is non-refundable, unless the theatre cancels the performance.

If someone who has paid for a ticket is subsequently unable to join the trip, for whatever reason, the Theatre Group will not be able to give a refund on the money paid. However, if there is enough notice the Theatre Team will try to re-sell the theatre ticket and place on the transport to another member, on behalf of the person who has cancelled.

Payment for tickets and sometimes transport are made into the Holme Valley U3A Social Account either by:
- bank transfer via internet banking (bacs) or a branch of your bank. The U3A Social Account payment details are provided when we ask you to pay for your ticket and/or transport.
- cheque, given to a Theatre Team representative at the the U3A meeting or sent by post. (The address will be provided when we ask you to pay). Please note that payment by cheque incurs a 40p charge.

We much prefer that theatre tickets are paid for by bank transfer or cheque, an not by cash, but we sometimes collect cash on the day for transport.
