Interest Groups are one of the most important parts of belonging to a U3A. Here at Hockley and Hawkwell it is no exception and we endeavour to provide the best we can! There are opportunities for learning, experiencing new activities, and allowing for interaction and socialising with like-minded people.
We have in the order of 44 groups ranging from Art Appreciation to Yoga with Book Clubs, Digital Photography, Flower Arranging, Knit and Sew, Sign Language, Ten Pin Bowling and Ambles and Rambles in between - to name just a few.
The list is constantly changing and it is advertised each month to members in our monthly bulletin or quarterly newsletter which is distributed by email and available on this website through password control.
Members can then sign up at the monthly meetings or by contacting the Group Co-ordinators directly.
Each of the groups is self-funding and self-managing - being led by Group Facilitators who have volunteered from within the membership of our U3A.
If you wish to know more then please contact us by clicking on the contact button and then choose the Group Co-ordinator button. We will always reply as soon as we can.
