Events

Regular monthly meetings are a mainstay of U3A and ours takes place at Hockley Community Centre, Westminster Drive, SS5 4XD, on the 3rd Friday of the month between 2.30-4.30p.m. Meeting dates will be confirmed in the Events Diary and on our Facebook page There is NO monthly general meeting in December or August.

At these General Meetings there will be a presentation by interesting and stimulating guest speakers. You can:

• find the latest interest group news e.g- sign up for groups, offer to lead a group, put forward your wishes/ideas for new groups
• peruse the social diary news - book for future trips and outings
• (for those without email) pick up your copy of the current Newsletter
• book for Sunday Lunch outings (subject to availability)

All this in a friendly, sociable atmosphere over tea/coffee with the chance to make new friends and associates and to find out about some of the things going on in and around the area that you may have been missing out on. It's quite surprising what may be available to you now you have the time or if you have reached that 'certain age.'

We are planning next year's social outings and would be grateful if you could let us know what type of trips and shows you would be interested in.

If you are interested in any of our social events please contact us for more details or to add your name to the list.

Please note that a £10 non-refundable deposit will be collected for all trips. This is because of the large number of last minute cancellations which has resulted in us losing money on planned visits.

PAYMENTS AT THE MEETING - PLEASE READ!!!!!

We appreciate that there are often long queues when you are trying to pay for trips at the meeting. If you prefer you can put your cheque in an envelope and put it in a box at the desk rather than queue. Cheques must be correctly addressed and the name of the trip written on the back. If you are paying for somebody other than yourself and your spouse please put the details on the envelope.
