Hitchin

Walking Group

The group meets once per month (February to November). Walks are always in the morning but dates vary. Details can be found on the notice boards at speakers’ meetings or on the Events page of the website.

Walks focus on socialising and meeting your Vitamin D & Fitbit quotas so are a not-too strenuous 4-5 miles (2-2 ½ hours) through the lovely North Herts / South Beds countryside. These are followed by an optional pub lunch.

There may also be additional shorter walks throughout the year.

Go to the Events page to see upcoming walks. Click on the link there to print off a full program.

Walks are open to all paid-up members and are undertaken at your own risk.

As walks often pass through or near fields with grazing animals dogs are not encouraged and MUST be kept on a lead AT ALL TIMES.

For those members who cannot make the scheduled walks there are also the North Herts Health Walks run by Countryside Management Service (CMS) : click for further details and brochure
