Triumph - November 2018 At 10.30 a.m. on the above date, 15 members of the Photographic Group plus three members from other groups, embarked on a tour of the world renowned motorcycle factory. It comprised a walking tour of the factory complete with a guide, Ian, who was extremely informative as well as being very clear and patient with his retired participants. Eveybody was supplied with an ear phone so that every word was received. No photography was allowed in the factory due to confidentiality considerations.
.

Triumph - November 2018 The second part of the visit was a tour of the Visitor Centre and exhibition. There were no restrictions regarding photography in these areas. Some members took the opportunity to sit astride one of the latest models and posed for photographs. In the exhibition, we could observe some famous motorcycles such as Steve McQueen’s fence jumping bike in “The Great Escape”, Marlon Brando’s bike in “ On the Waterfront “plus Brad Pitt’s bike in one of his many films. An aerodynamic model that achieved the world land speed record was also on display.
.

Triumph - November 2018 Motorcycles from 1900 to the modern day could be seen.
The whole tour was a great success and I hope to repeat it in 2019 for those members who could not come this time. The images show various members in the exhibition hall.
