German Beginners
Interest Group leader: Ken Veale
Meeting information: Meets 2nd & 4th Wednesday of each month at 2pm to 4pm.
Meeting venue: Ickenham.
The German beginners group is suitable for absolute beginners who don’t mind doing a little bit of catching up, those who tried to learn German previously and would like to try again, and those who learned it in the past, but feel too rusty to join an intermediate group.
German is a major European language, it is one of the three working languages of the European Union and it is the most widely spoken first language of the EU with 100 million native speakers.
The aim of the group is to learn the language by following two courses, “Talk German”, which is a BBC Publication and “Living German: A Grammar-Based Course”, which is published by John Murray Learning, 7th edition. Both courses include CDs, which help us to use spoken German as well as learning the grammar.
Contact Ken via the 'Click to send a message!' above if you want more information or are interested in joining the group.
This Group is one of three focussed on the German Language.
