Since January 2010, theatre visits have been arranged by a small group of members who research, book and organise three trips a year. We cover both the London Theatre and many suburban ones.
We book tickets provisionally just before a U3A meeting and need to make a firm booking, usually about two weeks after that. Getting expressions of interest means we know if a trip will be successful. If all goes well, we then simultaneously issue a booking form at the next meeting and by email. If you wish to go on the email list then send your email address to Carol Sulehria or Margaret Smith.
The trips are great fun and everyone in the U3A can join in but there are a limited number of tickets available. They are issued on a “first come, first served” basis. Your place is booked once Carol receives your booking form, cheque and SAE.
We have a committee of 4 that researches and organises our visits:

** This Theatre Trip being planned for Thursday 2nd July has been CANCELLED following the Government announcement made on March 16th about self isolation. **
It's hoped to be rearranged for next year.
Two into One at The Mill, Sonning Theatre at 2:15pm, the Matinee show.
Written by Ray Cooney and directed by Ron Aldridge, imagine you are a Cabinet Minister in the government, you might find it a little difficult to arrange an afternoon of nookie in a London hotel with a young lady. The problem is not so much that the Minister and the young lady are both married (not to each other obviously!) but that the young lady is the personal secretary to the Leader of the Opposition. - an utterly hilarious play that will have you rolling in the aisles and all the way home.
The trip includes the coach, a 2 course lunch with coffee, a shared programme and the matinee performance.
Cost: £63 (includes all above), 50 place available.
