Interest Group leader: Alan Hooper
Meeting information: We meet between October and May on the first and third Wednesday of the month from 2pm to 4pm.
Meeting venue: Ickenham
The group watches a range of films and has a discussion about each film. The pattern for this is usually that a complete film is shown at the first meeting and another complete film is shown at the second meeting. At the third meeting the two films are discussed and relevant clips from both films are shown. This pattern is then repeated. Over a period of time the group view and discuss a range of films – mostly made in the last 10 years, in English and sometimes other languages. The discussions aim to bring out the context in which a film has been made and to identify trends for that film genre.
