This is a list of notices from the Monthly Meeting & AGM at the Winston Churchill Hall on Monday 10th June 2019.
The new Chairman welcomed the members and also any new members attending for the first time. Also invited any new members to join Sue for a ‘get to know you’ coffee after the meeting.
The Chairman also told members that there were copies of ‘Get up and Go’ leaflet prepared by Chartered Society of Physiotherapists available for all and to collect a copy during the break, if not obtained previously.
THE Chairman also informed the members that the New Members meeting will be on Thursday 4th July at 2pm in the Sanctuary of the Baptist church Hercies Road.

Harvey announced 4 new Sunday Concerts;
-Sunday 13th October 2019, SCHUMANN Overture, Manfred, MENDELSSOHN Violin Concerto & BEETHOVEN Symphony No.7. Cost is £34.00.
-Sunday 3rd November 2019, STRAVINSKY Fireworks, RACHMANINOV Piano Concerto No.1 & TCHAIKOVSKY Swan Lake, excerpts. Cost is £34.00.
-Sunday 15th December 2019, Grand Christmas Classics including ADAM O Holy Night, DARKE In the bleak mid-winter, RUTTER The Twelve Days of Christmas, SCHUBERT Ave Maria & BACH Christmas Oratorio(Opening Chorus) Plus Carols for all. Cost is £38.00 for this one.
-Sunday 09 February 2020, Russian Classics including BORODIN Overture, Prince Igor, RACHMANINOV Piano Concerto No.2 & PROKOFIEV Symphony No.5. Cost is £34.00.
All costs include coach & ticket and all start at 3:00pm at the Royal Festival Hall. More details on this website including a link to the application form or contact Harvey.
The next London Walk takes place on Thursday 11th July and is entitled ‘The London Music Tour’, meeting at Tottenham Court Road Underground Station at 10.45 am. The cost is £8 per person and the walks are open to all U3A members. Contact Brian to register for this tour.

The next ramble is a five mile circular walk From Richmond along the Thames Path on Thursday 27th June 2019 meeting at 11.00am outside Richmond Underground Station (District Line). The walk along the Thames will go to Ham House, then a ferry across the River Thames (ferry fare £1) and then walk to Marble Hill House grounds. The house will not be open but there is a café and toilets. After lunch the walk will continue alongside the opposite bank of the river back to Richmond. To get to Richmond from the Hillingdon area go to Turnham Green Station (District Line) and take a Westbound train whose destination is Richmond. Contact Alan Hooper for more details.
It was announced that the U3A Singers next performance will be on Saturday 29th June at 7:30pm and called ‘Songs for a Summer Evening’. It will be held at the Christ Church in Uxbridge. Tickets will cost £8 and were on sale during the break from Margaret Smith.
Jill Rhodes announced that all tickets for Sonning in July were sold out. However the correct date of the outing should read Thursday the 18th July and not as shown on PowerPoint (corrected in the slideshow link above).

'Interest Group of the Month' is World Wide Wines – meet them in the coffee lounge during the break.

The Chairman welcomed Freda who is our new Interest Groups Co-ordinator.
No new announcements this month from Freda.
All visits are now full except Wembley Stadium. If anybody is interested please let me or the Visit Leader know. [Places for Eastbourne were filled during the break].
During the meeting, a number of people asked about the London Mosque visit. If you applied, you would have been selected and should receive your envelope imminently.
Murder Mystery Supper Evening
Rosemary Noyes announced that this event will be held on Saturday 13th July at 7.15pm in St Giles Church Hall and that tickets cost of £28ea and were available during the break.
The July Bulletin (the next one) is due out by the end of this month
