Elizabeth firstly informed members that she was still waiting for tickets for 19th February concert at Cadogan Hall but is expecting them that day. She will then post out those she can and others will be available for collection on the coach. So if you have had your seat confirmed and do not receive your ticket before the 19th then meet the coach as planned where she will give them out. Harvey reported back to the members that the last of the Autumn 2019/2020 concerts was last Sunday and was very much enjoyed by all. He now waits for information on next year's events and hopes to announce the new season in May's Newsletter and the Events page of this website.

She is still to finalise the price (expected to be between £55-£60) but advance bookings by members mean that these trips are now both full. Contact Elizabeth if you want to be added to her wait list.
Rosemary introduced the much loved HU3A Quiz Night with a Fish and Chip Supper which this year will be on 4th April at 7pm in the Ickenham Village Hall. Cost is £10 per person and there are still some places available. They could not sell any places at the meeting due to the lack of tickets so if you are interested then apply using the Quiz 2020 Form to Mary.

General Group News:
Interest Group of the Month
Interest Group of the Month table was occupied by the Gardening Group 3. Visit them during the coffee break and pick up a flower. See their photo on the Events page of this website.
Freda then asked if any groups want to publicise their group, why not make use of the Table of the Month. There are spaces available from now till December so contact Freda if you want a slot.
Interest Group News:
Freda mentioned that the Cryptic Crossword and Creative Writing groups are looking for some more members.
Freda also mentioned that she is still looking for names of interested members for some of the new suggested groups. Would you be interested in Song Writing, Climate Change or Astronomy groups. There is also a new Cycle group proposed by Nigel & Tricia and there was a survey on the last Newsletter Email for feedback on this.
As usual, contact Freda if you want to be added to any of her list of interested members.
PR and Communication:
Rodney mentioned that we have a new POP UP banner with the new logo and also a picture of the cycling group, there will be another banner but with a different picture of one of our groups.
It was also mentioned that he was updating the “Extend your Word “leaflet for distribution around the borough, also mentioned there were still copies of the laminated posters for members to take.
Rodney informed us about the recent U3A publication of the Membership Survey 2019 and suggested members might like to look at some interesting results and graphs. Link to the Survey here.
National U3A Day in June
Rodney also mentioned that we are supporting National U3A Day in June. Expected to now be an annual event, we are planning displays in Ickenham Village Hall, and Uxbridge Library and hopefully Ruislip High Street somewhere.
Rodney reminded us that next year as well as the National Day, Hillingdon will be celebrating its 20th anniversary so 2021 will be a special year for us.
New Visit - Blenheim Place
We omitted the section in the Blenheim Palace application form asking where you would join the coach. There is a new form on the website but if you have applied, could you let Pam or Alan know if in the event of your application being successful, where you will join the coach? This will save a lot of delays phoning round for clarification.
New Visit - Tower of London - Online Booking Trial
A reminder that the online booking for The Tower of London visit will open at 00:01 on Wednesday 12th February. This is to give both paper and online booking members a reasonably equal chance.
Ann introduced the members to her special post box for Membership Renewal applications and that this would also be at the March meeting. Ann then reminded us that the membership fee applies from April to March and is £25 per person for an email newsletter and £34 per person for a newsletter by post. Remember that you do not need to include a SAE - Stamped Address Envelope this year as this is being covered by the membership team. Membership cards should all be despatched by mid-March. There will be more information in the next Bulletin /Newsletter.
Ann mentioned that all the paper Renewal forms had now been delivered and gave us a report on the printing problem they had had this year. This problem meant that some members will have received a duplicate copy of the Renewal form and Newsletter.
