Computing for Beginners

Beginners Computing will be starting again in September. 3rd Wednesday of month 2pm Lacey Green Village Hall.
You need a laptop or tablet.
The first session, September 18th, spends 10 minutes where I put you at ease with getting to grips with computers. I explain how your brain works and how to use it to overcome the apparent complications of computers.
Then its hands on. Starting from the simple you are shown around Windows and how to manipulate it. We then build on that learning how to stay safe on line using email and the internet. Although you may be using these already, we can improve your search techniques and deal with attachments. I'll show you how to keep your inbox manageable without deleting messages you want to keep.
Session 2 is all about Memory. Then Storing / retrieving info. Also a look at the index to stored information - familiarity with this window is crucial to everything. Organising stored info. Creating storage areas (folders) and moving files around but, most importantly, finding them again.
Anyone who would like information or wishes to join us please contact me using the email link above top right.
