antiques.jpg The Antiques & Collectibles Group meet on the 4th Tuesday of the month and we meet in the small hall of Naphill Village Hall, 2.00pm to 4.00pm. We have a break for tea and biscuits during the meeting. We do not meet in August, or December, amd our November meeting is usually our Christmas Lunch, We then join in with the U3A Christmas coffee morning in December.
We follow the U3A ethic 'By the Members For the Members' but on occasions we invite a speaker with a view to widen our limited knowledge. We also aim to have 1 or 2 outings a year, some of our recent visits have been to Osterley House and Park, Chenies Manor, Hungerford Antiques, the Lamb Arcade at Wallingford and Milestones Museum. Some of the Topics covered have been Chair Making in High Wycombe, Lladro, WW1 Memorabilia, Gramophone Records, Poole Pottery and Rennie Mackintosh.
