Walking

walks.jpg We do 2 local walks each month, one shorter 3-4 mile walk (1.5 to 2hrs) and one longer 5 -6 mile ramble (2.5 to 3hrs), on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month respectively always starting at 10am. Often we will end our walks in a local pub for lunch or just a drink. Group members take it in turns to propose and then lead their favourite walks. Recently we have enjoyed several lovely walks through the beautiful Chiltern countryside in all its spring glory. In the past We visited diverse locations including Whiteleaf Hill, the Hambleden Valley, the Martyr’s Shrine near Amersham Old Town, Holmer Green & Little Missenden and the area around Great Kingshill. So if you enjoy good company and a bit of gentle exercise, dust off your walking boots and come & join our friendly group to discover the joys of our beautiful Chiltern countryside. You’re most welcome and you will not regret your decision!

Equipment: Walking shoes & water-proof jackets. Please be responsible for your own First Aid Kit. All walks start at 10am unless told otherwise. In the event of bad weather and possible cancellation, please contact the specified walk organizer by 8:30am on the day.
