The group meets on the afternoon of the first Tuesday of the month in the convenor's house In Naphill.
The convenor makes one or more presentations on which members are encouraged to ask questions or make comments. Topics are drawn from the whole of the historic County of Buckinghamshire with an emphasis on the south of the county particularly the area around High Wycombe. These often arise from local news items or discussion at a previous meeting.
Subjects covered during 2019 included the lock out in the Wycombe furniture industry in 1913/14, a medieval salt road joining Droitwich with the Risborough gap, and the impact of Wycombe Heath on two of its neighbouring settlements, Penn and Hazlemere.
