A Very Warm Welcome To Hurst, Hassocks and Ditchling u3a

We are your local branch of a popular national and international movement dedicated to learning, staying active, self-help and enjoying life for those no longer in full time employment.
We are local, friendly, low-cost and no qualifications are required.
In addition to Hurstpierpoint, Hassocks and Ditchling, we welcome members from surrounding areas.

We have something for everyone ranging from music, crafts, arts and languages to walks, sport and gardening.

Monthly meeting with speakers (with a chance to socialise over tea).

Trips out to places of interest in Sussex and further afield.

Free Online Courses, Study Days and special events run by Third Age Trust (National u3a) and/or Sussex u3a Network.

How to Join
Download and return the New Member 22/23 form.
Membership runs from 1st April to 31st March and for 2022/23, the cost is £16.

Prospective members can attend an activity twice before joining.

The Third Age Trust (aka TAT) is our umbrella charity that runs national events. Our members also participate in activities provided by the Sussex u3a Network (SUN) who have around forty local u3as as members.

This website, and the SUN website, are regularly updated with news of forthcoming events, so please visit them regularly. Information on Shared Learning Projects, MOOCs and online learning are on the Learning page.

Original photographs of HHD u3a activities are shown on this site. Photographers must ask the subject group for their consent. Those not wishing to participate in a photo can move out of shot. Any photos used can be removed via personal requests from members through
