A Very Warm Welcome To Hurst, Hassocks and Ditchling u3a

We are your local branch of a popular national and international movement dedicated to learning, staying active, self-help and enjoying life for those no longer in full time employment.
We are local, friendly, low-cost and no qualifications are required.
In addition to Hurstpierpoint, Hassocks and Ditchling, we welcome members from surrounding areas.
We were formed in 2012 and currently have over 380 members.

Groups
We have something for everyone ranging from music, crafts, arts and languages to walks, sport and gardening.

Activities
Monthly meeting with speakers (with a chance to socialise over tea).

Trips out to places of interest in Sussex and further afield.

Free Online Courses, Study Days and special events run by Third Age Trust (National u3a).

How to Join
Complete and return the New Member Form. Click on the blue text to download the form.
Membership runs from 1st April to 31st March and for 2023/2024 the cost is £15.

Prospective members can attend an activity twice before joining.

Helpers are always needed. We have a "Really Useful Group" (RUG) who help with meeting setup. Please contact hhdu3a@gmail.com if you can help. We are particularly in need of someone to act as a backup for the Technical setup (eg getting microphone working etc)

Original photographs of HHD u3a activities are shown on this site. Photographers must ask the subject group for their consent. Those not wishing to participate in a photo can move out of shot. Any photos used can be removed via personal requests from members through hhdu3a@gmail.com
