Activity Group - Short Walks

Short Walks The group is now going well, thanks to Jackie Holcombe's leadership. The walks are three to four miles at a gentle pace and are being organised by group members.

Sep 16 Meet at Kidmore End Cricket ground [a turning off the Gallowstree Common road] for a 3 mile walk on some unmarked paths – iron age fort, Saxon walls, 21st Century vineyard.

Oct 21 Meet at Whitchurch Hill Recreation ground next to St. John’s Church. About a 3-mile walk.

Nov 18 Meet at the car park in Hurley Village, GR 825840 for a 3-mile flat walk across fields returning along the Thames.

Feb 17 Meet in Woodlands Rd, Sonning Common close to The Old Copse for a 3 ½ mile walk through woods and fields with no stiles or major hills to climb.
