Heathfield Writing group logs on
In November seven members of the Heathfield U3A met at leader, Philippa Pigache’s house for the inaugural meeting of a new writing group. Five more people expressed interest in joining us next time. We had been asked for ‘Writing for pleasure’. It turned out we had a good spread of writing experience – for pleasure and indeed for money. Between us, we had written advertising copy, business reports, press releases, freelance articles, angry letters, memoirs, e-books and a B.Ed, and everyone was keen to get back in the groove.
The group will meet again on Wednesday, December 5 2018: same time and place: 14.00 at Fairfield. Everyone plans to bring a short piece of writing to discuss at the meeting. Anything you like, as long as you wrote it.
Philippa’s drive has parking for about seven cars max. So please confirm early if you plan to come in a car so that we can allocate spaces and organise lifts where possible. %Philippa%
