Headington

Welcome

The Headington U3A (University of the Third Age) usually meets on the first and third Tuesday of the month* from 2 – 3.30 pm in the main hall of Headington Community Centre, Gladstone Road, Headington, Oxford OX3 8LL
(*There is no general meeting in August and only one meeting in September and one meeting in December)

New members are very WELCOME

Headington U3A was founded in October 1992 and has been meeting regularly since that time. U3A is run by members. It holds regular meetings which usually include a talk on a subject of general interest as well as items by individual members, and discussion. Self-help study is actively encouraged, often by means of special interest groups. Details are listed from the Groups link above.
The year's programme of general meetings is listed on the Headington U3A programme page or from the Programme link above. Details of meetings are also available on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/u3aheadington
(Meetings are also published in the Oxford Times).

We have links with other U3As in the district. Occasionally joint activities are held, and U3A members are welcome to join special interest groups run by neighbouring branches if there are vacancies. Regional networks of special interest groups convene from time to time to share ideas and experiences.

Headington U3A is a member of the Thames Valley U3A Network which organises Study Days. There is a fee for the organised Study Days and they are only open to members of any U3A branch.
