Haxby & Wigginton

Welcome

Due to coronavirus many activities are temporarily suspended. Please refer to Events and Groups pages for further information

U3A is a UK-wide movement which brings together people in their ‘third age’ to develop their interests and continue their learning in a friendly and informal environment. The third age is the time after you have finished working full-time or raising your family and have time to pursue your interests or just try something new.

Haxby and Wigginton U3A serves a pleasant community four miles north of York.

We offer a range of study, creative and leisure groups for retired people, meeting regularly. Activities are organised by our members who share their skills and expertise.

We hold regular meetings in Wigginton Recreation Hall, where we have a guest speaker and refreshments.

We arrange monthly Sunday lunches in local hotels or pubs, plus coach outings, theatre trips and holidays to places of general or group interest. See the EVENTS page for what's going on.

Group meetings are often held in members’ homes, but may be held in local halls, for which a small charge may be made. There is an annual membership fee of only £10. If you are interested in joining, please click on the MEMBERSHIP link at the top of this page.
