This group is for those interested in their own gardens and those of others, included many wonderful local ones that are open to visitors. Activities can also include plant sharing and hospitality.
A visit to Mottisfont Abbey and Gardens is planned for Tuesday the 5th July in conjunction with the Day Trips Group to see their world-famous collection roses and savour eight centuries of history that are buried within Mottisfont’s walls, an Augustinian priory that was founded in 1201, laying the foundations for the 18th-century structure that’s now visible. Today, hints of Mottisfont’s medieval past live alongside the stylish redevelopment that took place in the early 20th century.
Travel will be by coach and the the cost of this will be £15.00pp if we can fill it (39 seats) or £20.00 if only 29 travel. Admission to Mottisfont is free to National Trust members but £16.00 if you are not. To book your place contact Val (details above) or sign-up when you attend the next Monthly Meeting at the BCC.
