Think of a day trip, enjoying the scenery, a nice lunch and tourist attractions. Now imagine it without the coach fare and with the flexibility to reschedule if the weather is appalling! Make sure you have your bus pass, comfortable walking shoes, and any medication you need. It will help communications if you have a fully charged mobile phone with you. (shopping bag and camera optional)
I usually send an invite and itinerary to group members in advance to find out who is interested in going on the trip, and on which day. This is so I can book tables for lunch. Then I may send confirmation and final details the week before we go if time allows. In August we had a very informative visit to Selsey Lifeboat Station. We had lunch at The Seal and some of us discovered La Banca for coffee and cake.
