Walking: Shorter
Shorter Walks are around 3 miles. Generally the group will go out on 2nd Tuesday of the month.
It is up to members of the group to take turns in planning the walks.
Lunch at the end is optional. We try to find cafes or pubs with a good value menu.
We will walk with the longer group (but in groups of 6!!) to trial our COVID risk assessment procedure, at Rye harbour on May 4. SEE THE LINK TO THE LONGER GROUP PAGE BELOW.
If all goes well, I will lead a walk on 2nd Tuesday in June, and be looking for volunteer leaders beyond the July joint lunch - I will post updates if all does go well!!

Tue May 4th | Joint walk at Rye Harbour with longer group to trial our proposed approach to COVID risk assessment. I will circulate the leaders risk assessment nearer to the time. You should then, if you wish to come, complete and retain your individual risk assessment, and let me know you are coming so that we can manage numbers, as we will be limited to sub-groups of 6. |
Tue Jun 8th | First "normal" short walk, assuming restrictions are lifted as planned on 17 May. Leader Steve, provisionally Pevensey. |
Tue Jul 6th | Proposed date for joint bring-and-share lunch with longer group at Fairlight. Details to follow. |
Tue Aug 3rd | Reserve date for bring and share lunch at Fairlight. |
