Creative Writing Bexhill
We hope to meet again when the threat of Covid-19 has retreated.
The group is open to anyone who enjoys writing short stories or wants to
try. It is also open to people who have started or are interested in writing
a novel. The focus is on prose for adults or older teenagers.
The aim is to provide opportunities for imagination to run free and to
learn from each other to make stories more interesting.
The number attending is limited to ensure that all who want a turn to
read a piece can do so on a regular basis. Most work will be read aloud
rather than studied on the page to keep the emphasis on creativity rather
than spelling and punctuation.
For some meetings, we will also read a brief classic short story and
discuss what contributes to its success.
Meetings were held fortnightly on Wednesday mornings in The Community Room at Tesco, Ravenside Retail Park, Bexhill TN40 2JS. It remains to be seen if this facility will be available in the future.
Vacancies as of March 2020.
