Bird Watching
The birdwatching group caters for beginners, enthusiastic amateurs, and obsessive birders.
It holds field meetings about once a month, and tends to visit a few select sites such as the RSPB Dungeness Reserve and Rye Harbour Nature Reserve.
These local sites are preferred because they hold a good variety of birds, enabling birding skills to be honed, as well as large numbers of insects, mammals and plants (for example, over 3500 species have been recorded at Rye Harbour).
