Walking: Longer
Tue Jun 4th The 4 June walk will be a circular walk approx. 5.5 miles in the area between Heathfield and Horam. The western leg will use the Cuckoo Trail. In order to facilitate parking and lunch, we will do the walk from the Brewers Arms at Vines Cross. Postcode TN21 9EN. Map ref 595179.
We will head north west from the pub to pick up the Cuckoo Trail south of Heathfield, follow it to Horam, and then return across the fields via Hidden Valley Vineyard.
The Cuckoo Trail is level and surfaced. The field paths involve only gentle ascents, but there are a lot of stiles. At the moment the ground is hard, but the walk is said to be muddy in wet weather.
We will need menu choices for the Brewer's Arms by close of play Friday 31 May. Please let Steve and Jackie know if you are coming. Contact details in the email sent to members.
Tue Jul 2nd Valerie and David have kindly offered again to host our annual bring and share lunch at their house in Fairlight. There will be a longer walk led by Richard and a shorter walk for which we need a volunteer.

Thank you Valerie and David.
