Walking: Longer
Tue Jun 1st This walk is courtesy of Barbara Christmas, who has now returned to New Zealand. It is a five-mile circular from Winchelsea to Winchelsea Beach. We felt this was a good walk early in the programme as, apart from a gentle climb at the end, it is fairly level and easy going. There are a couple of stiles and two gated bridges. There is a long section where there is no shade so sun hats or sunshade would be a good idea.

At present the plan is to meet at 10 am parking at the public toilets (currently closed) in Winchelsea. One option for lunch is to bring chairs and packed lunch to eat in Winchelsea in the field by the playground. A second option would be Tea Beside the Orchard on the main road at Icklesham https://teabesidetheorchard.co.uk.

We will send final times and group sizes after Monday 17th when we have considered the Covid update. We will also send Walk and Participant Risk Assessments at the same time.

When you are ready do let us know if you wish join us, either by phone or email. Please include both your phone and email details plus your preferred option for lunch

Please contact Lorna and Chas using the contact details sent in the recent email.
Tue Jul 6th Our Annual Bring and Share get together. Kindly hosted by Valerie and David. We plan not to have the food on tables inside. Valerie has kindly offered to provide some tables outside to put the food on. In the event of rain this will be postponed until August.
