Welcome to Harrogate U3A

Clicking on the coloured text will lead you to further detail

Harrogate U3A draws on the talents and experience of its members to provide learning opportunities for older people no longer in full-time employment. It is run by the members, for the members and is a member of the Third Age Trust.

Harrogate U3A whose Current Constitution was registered in 1991 has more than 1000 members and nearly 60 interest groups.

The subscription year runs from beginning of September to the end of August. The annual subscription for 2018/19 is £10.00. Download Membership Application/Renewal Form from Membership page. Many activities cease after the end of June although some outdoor activities continue beyond this. In addition to the annual subscription some interest groups may levy charges to cover room hire etc.

Members receive by post the national U3A magazine Third Age Matters. In addition our own more immediate news is added to this site, circulated by email and published in the Current Stray Bits. 'Stray Bits' is a brief occasional news sheet that is sent by email with a printed copy available at Open Meetings and included on this web site. Our fuller newsletter Stray News has been re-launched as a magazine and titled Stray Pieces. The electronic version has now been published and circulated by email and it is hoped a printed version will be circulated to members who do not receive emailed notices.

If you are a potential member why not browse our groups pages and come to one of our Open Meetings (see What is On page for details of these) to find out more about us? There is a £2 charge for non members and you are welcome to come up to three times before joining.
Or you can call the Enquiries message service on 07986 361051, email General Enquiries or use the Contacts page for more specific information/requests .
