If you are an existing member it is proposed to grant access to the Beacon Membership System from the Members’ Portal.
If approved by the committee there will be a link on this page that will give access to parts of the Beacon system for viewing group information and calendar of events. In addition access may be granted permitting changes to be made to your own member information.
Information about the portal can be found by clicking on the document link in the side bar. Not all the items described will necessarily be made available.
If you have previously been a member and would like to re-join, please download the application form, complete, sign and return it together with your cheque to the Membership Secretary at the address shown on the form.
If you would like to join please download, complete and sign a Membership Application Form.
1. If you have a partner at the same address who is already a member of Harrogate U3A, please note that on your application.
2. For joint memberships, the application form must be signed by BOTH members.
Send the completed form, together with your cheque to the Membership Secretary whose address is on the application form.
Cheques should be payable to Harrogate U3A. Please do not send cash by post.
MONTHLY GENERAL MEETINGS
All members are invited to attend our monthly General Meetings. Potential members are welcome to attend up to two of these meetings at a cost of £2.00 per visit.
The meetings provide an opportunity to discuss business, to meet other members, share information about group activities and hear talks by visiting speakers.
They are held at The Cairn Hotel, Ripon Road, Harrogate from 10.45-12.00 usually on the fourth Friday of the months October to June, See What Is On page for details.
Extraordinary General Meeting on 29th March 2019
An extraordinary general meeting was called for 29th March to consider changing the percentage needed to form a quorum at the Annual General Meetings.
The resolution to change the percentage required from 10% to 5% was passed. See the note from Christine Hines in the side bar.
