Painting for Pleasure
The group meets at Bilton Community Centre on First and Third Mondays 1pm – 4pm. NB. No meeting on Bank Holidays or in August and September. There is a kitchen available but you need to bring your own snacks, coffee, milk tea and sugar, though cups, plates and utensils are provided. Toilets and washrooms are on site.
The main aim of the group is to either join in the group session or do your own thing.
Despite being self-taught there is quite some talent in the group, It is important that we help each other and enjoy the art session and produce art work to our own abilities. Please let me have your ideas and what you would like to learn or if you could lead a session demonstrating your art skills. It is your art group and to develop we need to support each other and gain in confidence to produce art works that we can be proud of and possibly hold an art exhibition!!.
The group will be run by the group members in 2018 as Liz Frederiksen will be unavailable for managing the group throughout the year. The group has a full list of people who are the core of the group, therefore there will not be any vacancies next year due to no administration management or group emails from Liz. Liz will however accept any email enquiries for vacancies and will reply if available. The group members did not want the U3A Painting for Pleasure group to close and decided each session will be managed by the group members with assistance from Liz Frederiksen if available.
Please contact me if you are interested in joining the group as I will have a limit to how many I can take.
