Refresher for Older Drivers
Drivers over 50 can take a free one-hour refresher with an approved driving instructor, who will offer driving tips and advice on any concerns you may have.

You can also request a free older driver information pack, which includes a copy of the Highway Code and a DVD showing how the refresher drive works.

Open University OpenLearn Free Online Courses
A large number of courses are offered by the Open University's OpenLearn project. The courses are for varied duration and registration is required. See Open Learn web site here Open University.
MOOCs offer university-level courses without the need to complete an entire programme of studies, and are becoming increasingly popular.
• They offer a large number of students the opportunity to study high quality courses online with prestigious universities, often at no cost.
• They are ideal for independent study and users can select courses from any institution offering them.
• MOOCs do not always lead to formal qualifications. There are no entry requirements.
• Video-based, they offer interaction either through peer review and group collaboration or automated feedback through objective, online assessments (including quizzes and exams).
TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) is a set of talks offered by the private non-profit Sapling Foundation, under the slogan "Ideas Worth Spreading". It includes talks on many scientific, cultural and academic topics.

Offering searchable online literature for the student, educator, or enthusiast. To find the work you're looking for start by looking through the author index. We currently have over 3500 full books and over 4400 short stories and poems by over 260 authors. Our quotations database has over 8500 quotes, and our quiz system features over 340 quizzes.
Leeds Beckett University
are conducting research exploring childhood memories of circus and their impact on later life attitudes.
We'd like to offer your members the opportunity to take part in this project. This would which involve 30 minute group discussions (around 5 people in each) at a location convenient to them. The discussion will be informal and enjoyable and include refreshments.
We can also offer a £10 M&S voucher for each person who takes part.
