Walking Groups
There are currently five walking groups, three meet on Tuesdays, one meets on the third Thursday of the month and the Pathfinders group meets on the first Saturday of the month.
Traditionally the second Tuesday of the month was a Naturalists walk. This is now a separate group but most walking groups still do not walk on the second Tuesday.
The groups vary in the distance covered and the walking rate in order to cater for as many abilities as possible. Dogs are not allowed on our walks.
Four of the five groups reach the start destination by public transport. One group walks on the fifth Tuesday of the month and shared cars are used to reach the start point.
Usually there is a four night walking break organised every year usually in June or July as individual groups or jointly.
