Painting Group
The Painting Group is managed by Brian Graham but is supported artistically by Peter Kearney who has inspired us for over 20 years with his enthusiasm and expertise. There is no formal tuition, but Peter is always available to comment, consult and advise.
We have accomplished artists and newer members who blend well into the social atmosphere which we foster. We paint to a monthly theme suggested by members, not obligatory, followed by a light hearted mutual critique.
During November we held an Exhibition of Painting in the Carnegie (Central) Library . This was well received and it is aimed to make it an annual event.
The Group meets at the Chapter House, St Robert's Church, Pannal, on most Tuesdays from 10.00 to 12.00 and from 12.30 to 15.00. The weekly cost (incl. coffee!) is about £3.00 and is adjusted to meet expenses.
