Discover Yorkshire
This group visits sites of cultural and historical interest, usually with professional guides. We have recently made visits to various historical locations including York, Leeds, Saltaire, Shibden Hall and Wentworth Woodhouse. We travel by coach, public transport or, occasionally, private car. An e-mail goes out to members every few months detailing proposed visits.
Visits planned for the next few months include Harewood House, Hepworth Gallery, the Rhubarb Festival in Wakefield, Yorkshire Sculpture Park and Brodsworth Hall.
Our small sub-committee has a long list of potential tours to be made either by car, public transport or coach. Members are encouraged to contribute ideas and, hopefully, practical assistance in the planning.
