The mentor for this group and bookings secretary is Bill Holland - telephone 01379 854938. We meet on Tuesday mornings at Methodist Church/ URC 10.00.a.m London Road, Harleston. At last count there were 18 in the group. Bill has extra instruments for people to try out. £2 subs covers Hall hire and tea and biscuits. New members are welcome as are singers.
Ukulele is the official easiest instrument for an Adult to learn...Fun with a capital F. Keeps your brain/body coordination in top shape!!! We count our practice a success if everyone leaves with a smile!!!
We have played annually at the Harleston and Waveney Festival for the past five years, as well as care homes, local clubs and charity events. We have a song list that includes a wide range including children's, Hawaiian, popular and seasonal. We have raised hundreds of pounds for local good causes.
This year we played at the the Festival to a packed house for the 6th year running, there were lots of kind comments and raised £82 for festival funds.
Current bookings include the Oxdeep group, the Pulham over 60's support group and the Harleston Dementia Cafe
