THIS GROUP HAD RESUMED MEETINGS OUTDOORS WHILST OBSERVING SOCIAL DISTANCING AND GROUP SIZE RULES BUT IS NOW PAUSED WHILST THE CURRENT PERIOD OF LOCKDOWN LASTS
PHOTOGRAPHY GROUP CO-ORDINATOR – Debra Purdham;
Firstly I'd like to wish you all a Happy and Healthy 2021.
I am starting as Group leader under very challenging circumstances but I have a few ideas that will keep us operating within the current rules.
I will be setting a challenge every so often to keep your creative juices flowing. January's challenge is to take creative photos of hands and feet . If you're going to use yourself as a model you might need to use a tripod and self timer.
I also thought it would be a nice idea to have an annual project. A simple idea, choose a scene that isn't going to move anywhere and take a photograph of it once a month , then we can look back on our images in December and see how things change throughout the year. This could simply be a tree or perhaps your garden or a park. The choice is yours.
I would like to keep the field trip element going even though we are very restricted. I know that Mike had planned a trip to Sudbury last year which, unfortunately, never happened. For those who feel happy doing so I propose we visit Sudbury either individually or meet up with one other member at a time suited to ourselves and then share our Images at the Zoom meeting at the end of the month.
You can choose to do all, some or none of these things but the more you put in to the group the more you will get out. Hopefully, by the spring we will be meeting up in greater numbers.
