The group maintained its activities throughout the pandemic by holding all of its meetings using zoom.
We have now just begun to meet again in person, alternating between a venue based meeting ( with zoom access for those shielding etc) on the 2nd Thursday of the month ( 2.00pm - 4.00pm) and an outdoor meeting on the 4th Thursday. Times for these meetings might vary depending on the location, but local venues will generally stick to the 2.00pm to 4.00pm slot.
We aim to help members with all aspects of digital photography, offering help with both the use of cameras and post processing ( currently using photoshop elements). We run a private Flickr group for members to post their work and obtain feedback from other members.
Anyone with an interest is welcome to join, from beginners to more experienced photographers .
There is no restriction on the type of camera that members use - all are welcome from the phone camera upwards.
Internet access is a vital part of the way we currently communicate.
Various challenges are set for members to practice their skills. These are often linked to a topic highlighted at an indoor meeting or a request for help from a member. These challenges are designed to offer further practice on areas of concern and the results are reviewed and discussed in our indoor meetings.
Although we restrict membership to 12 ( in order to maximise the help we can offer to members) we are currently looking for a a couple of new members. The only cost of membership is determined by the charge for the hire of the venue which is shared between members.
2022 will see the 10th anniversary of the group and we hope to possibly publish a photographic record of our journey.
