Spotted on some ivy flowers, this ivy bee is a newcomer to the UK and must be reported to the Wildlife Trust. It is totally harmless to the environment particularly since it only comes in September when the other bees are finishing. Also on this bush: honey bees, wasps and possibly a hornet
