28/04/22FINSBURY PARK TO ALEXANDRA PALACEParkland Walk Nature Reserve South Section to Highgate. Lunch at Highgate Woods Cafe. Afternoon: North Section to Alexandra Palace. We will be following the railway line that ran passenger trains from Finsbury Park to Alexandra Palace from 1873 to 1954
24/03/22ROTHERHITHE, SOUTHWARK PARK, THAMES TO GREENWICHCircular walk to Rotherhithe from Canada Water and then to Southhwark Park. Lunch at Surrey Quays Shopping Centre. Afternoon: Past Greenland Dock and then along the Thames to Greenwich.
24/02/22CITY/RIVER THAMES/ST JAMES'S PARKWalk through Finsbury Circus Gardens, then on to London Wall High Walk. Then through City, and cross the river at Southwark Bridge. Then on Southbank, passing The Globe, Tate Modern and National Theatre. Lunch at Royal Festival Hall. Afternoon: Continue along the Southbank , passing Westminster Bridge. Then seeing The National Covid Memorial Wall. We will cross the river at Lambeth, Bridge, and on to Victoria Gardens, past Parliament Square and finish at St James's Park.
18/11/21Outing to Surrey Docks and Wapping to CityMorning: Circular walk of Surrey Docks including Russia Dock and view from Stave Hill; Afternoon: Overground back 2 stops to Wapping, then walk from Shadwell Basin to St Katherine's Dock via the Oremental Canal, past the Tower to take Thames Path to London Bridge.
07/10/21Olympic Park and Victoria ParkMorning: Circular walk of the Olympic Park; Lunch: Cafe near Orbit and Stadium; Afternoon: Along Old River Lea to Old Ford Lock, and on to the Hackney Cut. Then to Hertford Union Canal and in to Victoria Park.
09/09/21Epping ForestMorning: Walk on Chingford Plain, Lake and Forest; Lunch: Butlers Retreat Cafe; Afternoon: Walk past Golf Course to viewpoint at Pole Hill

27/02/20Docklands Circular WalkMorning: Walk along the Thames from Canary Wharf Pier and then through Millwall Dock; Lunch at Jubilee Shopping Centre; Afternoon: Walk along West India Dock to the Blue Bridge, into Poplar Dock and Blackwall Basin. We finished with tea on return to Canary Wharf.

Prior to this, the group leader Michael Shore has organised regular outings for more than 14 years, having started in July 2007. Typically there are 9 outings a year, always on a Thursday to many interesting places in London; there are no walks in August, December or January.
