Badminton
Anyone interested in giving the Badminton group a try is welcome to join us.
Member participation varies from around 8 to 16 each week. We play on Thursdays every week (with very few exceptions) from 11:00 to 13:00, at the Britannia Leisure Centre, Pitfield Street, N1 5FT.
Paul offers beginners some basic coaching. We can lend you a racket, so the only thing you need are shoes suitable for court use.
We operate by contracting with Britannia Leisure Centre each quarter (of the year). Regular players pay for 13 weeks at a time (usually around £30. We normally have three courts for two hours, but this sometimes varies − so if you haven't been before, first contact group leader Paul Lister to check. There is a £6 charge for each session for casual players, payable on the day. However, if you want to explore if you would like to become a subscriber you can join in one or two sessions free.
