London Region of U3As
The London Region of U3As is a Regional Network of independent U3As operating within the London area. There are currently 44 U3As in the London Region, totalling nearly 26,000 members. You become a member of the LRU3A by virtue of you HU3A membership.
LRU3A organises fortnightly talks on a wide variety of subjects; to register for a talk or find out about other activities, visit their Events page or click on the link on the right.
One of LRU3A's core objectives is to support and help U3As to be more effective and efficient. On London Region - Sharing, you find:
- materials highlighting good practice on particular subjects
- information on Peer Groups: these exist for mutual support and sharing of good practice and there are currently Communicator, Group Coordinator, IT/Webmaster and Treasurer groups
- Shared Practice Guides (SPGs) covering a wide-ranging topics such as Volunteering, Induction for new members, guides for using Zoom as well as Beacon
Trust U3A
Trust U3A is an online u3a that gives you the opportunity to join groups, talks and courses. Like any u3a, activities a run by members for members. Take a look at their Groups page for details of the Trust u3a groups, courses and talks. Trust u3a members can join groups via the Trust u3a, Beacon Members Portal. It costs only £5 per year to join if you are already a member of Hackney U3A.
